LAKE MARY, Florida. – Friendly Confines in Lake Mary was packed with Lake Mary All-Stars fans on Friday night, with all the televisions tuned to the big game.

“A lot of work has gone into it. They’ve been playing and training since February, so it’s been a long road,” said Norman Picard. “The sponsorships with Easton and Adidas have been great. One of them said it was the best Christmas morning they’ve ever had.”

Some fans who don’t know the team personally said it was nice for them to get national attention.

“I get emotional when I watch them. It’s like I know them, even though I don’t. I see them play baseball every weekend and it’s like watching my own kids on TV,” Kelly Vinson said.

People are expected to return to Friendly Confines on Monday at 7 p.m. for the next game against Hawaii.
