After Simone Biles won gold at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and the athlete celebrated her father’s milestone birthday with her family in France.
Simone, 27, showed her father Ronald Biles‘ 75th birthday celebration with a series of Instagram stories on Thursday, August 8. One of his gifts included a surprise from Snoop Doggwhich has become something of a fixture at this year’s Olympic Games.
“Snoop gave him a chain, no, he doesn’t know how to behave,” Simone’s sister Adriana Biles wrote on Thursday under her own Instagram story: “75 looks great on you! Happy birthday, I love you.”
In one of Simone’s photos, Snoop, 52, is seen walking with her family as she prepares to watch some of the women’s athletics competitions. The gymnast also shared a photo of her father receiving a birthday cake as they sit in a box-style box at the Stade de France stadium.
The 2024 Paris Olympic Games have produced numerous picture-perfect moments since they began on July 26. Ronald’s birthday party took place days after Simone had killed her parents during a Today to the interview with Hoda Kotb Earlier this week.
“Without my parents and the adoption, I wouldn’t be here today,” she said. Ronald, her biological grandmother, and his wife Nellie Bilesadopted Simone and Adria, 25, in 2003.
“My parents saved me,” Simone said during the competition on Dancing with the stars in 2017. “They are a great example of how to treat other people and they have supported me from day one. I can’t thank them enough.”
Both Ronald and Nellie have supported Simone’s gymnastics career from the beginning. They were a strong support for their daughter when she dropped out of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to “twisties”.
Simone’s Netflix documentary series, Simone Biles riseswhich was published in July, showed the athlete’s conversation with her mother before she left Tokyo.
“You can’t do that. It’s okay, honey,” Nellie was heard saying, showing her daughter her support. “I don’t want you to go out there if you’re not feeling well. You don’t have to go out there and hurt yourself. That’s just not right, okay? You have to take care of yourself.”
The 2024 Summer Olympics may be taking place in the City of Light, but that doesn’t mean they won’t bring a fair amount of darkness with them.
