Green Day have released an extensive box set for the 20th anniversary of American Idiot.
Available as 8xLP or 4xCD package from October 25, 2024, American Idiot 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition includes 15 unreleased demo recordings, a live performance of the band’s 2004 concert at Irving Plaza in New York City (including nine previously unreleased live recordings), and a number of B-sides and bonus tracks. Both packages also include two Blu-ray discs with a new 110-minute documentary, the film Heart like a hand grenadee and various live performances.

The vinyl set includes a 36-page book, a large Green Day flag and Billie Joe Armstrong’s iconic American Idiot red tie. In addition, each LP is pressed on vinyl in a unique color.
Also available from October 25th is a limited colour vinyl edition of American Idiotplus an audiophile “one-step” release of the album.

Green Day are currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of their American Idiot — and the 30th anniversary of Dookie — on their “Saviors Tour.” We caught the band’s recent performance in New York City, and it was pretty spectacular.
