Avelo Airlines will begin offering nonstop flights between Palm Beach International Airport and the Philadelphia area this fall. The flights will cost less than $100 each way and take less than three hours.
The Houston-based airline will operate between PBIA and Wilmington International Airport in Delaware, which is about an hour from Philadelphia by train and bus, or less than an hour by car. Flights will begin on November 8. Interested passengers can book their tickets online at AveloAir.com.
Avelo Airlines is offering its passengers a fare of $67 one way for bookings made by Tuesday, August 13, during the first three weeks of November.

A Google Flights search conducted Saturday revealed that tickets on the two airlines offering nonstop flights between PBIA and Philadelphia International Airport this fall – American Airlines and Frontier Airlines – cost more than $200 round-trip.
Avelo passengers can bring one “personal item” on board for free, provided it is no larger than 17 inches long, 13 inches high and 9 inches wide. Carry-on and checked baggage cost extra. Bags weighing more than 50 pounds will cost passengers an additional $100 per piece. Bookings or cancellations not made online will cost an additional $25. Passengers who wish to choose their own seat must pay an additional fee.
Additionally, Allegiant Air recently announced it will offer nonstop flights from PBIA to Gerald R. Ford International Airport, located about 13 miles from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Fares start at just $69 each way. Interested passengers can book flights online at AllegiantAir.com. Departures begin November 14. Travel time is just over three hours each way.
