Dubbed “Mini Glastonbury”, celebrated by NME as the ‘unobtrusive triumph of the festival season’ and described by Rolling Stone Described as the “best-oiled festival machine,” Green Man Festival is one of Wales’ biggest and best music events and will return this very week in 2024.
Nestled in the Welsh mountains, the festival has previously hosted Bicep, Michael Kiwanuka, Van Morrison and Fontaines DC, among others. This year’s line-up promises another exciting mix of folk, dance, jazz and punk, as well as plenty of comedy shows, literary talks, performance art, wellness courses and scientific workshops.
The ever-popular Green Man 2024 sold out in record time, but there’s a way you can still snap up last-minute tickets. If you’re heading to Wales to attend one of the most popular events on the UK festival calendar, here’s everything you need to know.

Dates and location of Green Man 2024
This year the Green Man takes place from Thursday, August 15th to Sunday, August 18th.
The festival takes place every year on the Glanusk Estate near the village of Crickhowell in the heart of the Bannau-Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons).

If you were hoping to get a ticket, we have bad news. Tickets for Green Man 2024 sold out in record time – in just over two hours. And that was before the line-up was even announced.
However, there is still hope. Several resale tickets are still available through Fanticks, the festival’s official reseller.
Weather forecast
According to the Met Office, there will be some grey clouds and drizzle on Thursday evening, but sunshine will be expected from Friday to Sunday, with highs of 21 to 22 degrees.
