Arkadium opens the release to third-party developers and sets up a support fund

Browser-based gaming company Arkadium announced today that it is launching a publishing service for third-party game developers. Earlier this year, Arkadium opened its platform to third-party developers who could submit their games for publishing on the company’s platform. This new service goes a step further, giving developers access to extensive resources in marketing, research, monetization and other forms of support.

GamesBeat spoke with Arkadium CEO Kenny Rosenblatt about the company’s new projects and fund. He explained that the Arkadium for Developers program has seen good results since its launch in April. “So now we can expand further and open up our publishing service to third-party games. I always knew we wanted to do this, and now seemed like the right time. With Arkadium as a third-party game publisher, we can now support game developers even better and with more commitment.”

Additionally, Arkadium has unveiled its $1 million Arkadium Publishing Fund 1 (APF1). This fund will provide financial support for browser-based games on the Arkadium network. Rosenblatt provided further details on the fund allocation, saying, “This initial fund will be distributed based on the developer’s needs. For example, some developers just want cash to fund their title. Others want distribution/user guarantees or paid marketing support. Based on the developer’s needs, we will tailor our offerings to best support them.”

Kenny Rosenblatt, CEO of Arkadium, says the company is ready to provide comprehensive support to developers.

Arkadium is launching the publishing initiative with a portfolio of seven third-party browser games. The largest of these is “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”, which was developed in collaboration with Sony and whose gameplay is similar to the quiz of the same name. The other games are “Multiplayer Chess Online”, the puzzle game “Ridella”, the word game “Categories”, the escape game “Room Escape” and the puzzle games “Element Blocks” and “Zoo Boom”.

Rosenblatt added: “In addition to funding new game ideas, we guarantee that millions of viewers will see your title. Discoverability and promotion of new games on our platform is where we give developers the most support… The other thing we inherently offer developers is the highest quality players on the market. Our players come from Tier 1 countries that generate the highest advertising CPMs and have the disposable income to make microtransactions. We want to help developers succeed. And we believe the way to do that is to give them the audience, partners and expertise they need to do that.”
