The Australian heartthrob, who turned 41 this week, surprised fans by opting for a simple but popular $5 white mud cake from supermarket chain Woolworths – proving that even A-list celebs appreciate the little things in life.
On Monday, Chris posted a cheerful video on Instagram of himself enjoying this humble treat all by himself.
In the video, the action star can be seen eating the cake and obviously enjoying every bite of this now typical Australian dessert.
“I just want to thank you for all the love and birthday wishes,” Chris began, showing off his unmistakable charm.

Chris humorously explained his simple celebration, adding: “I got myself some flowers. That’s it. You know, as you get older, you realize that the circle of people around you, the people you love, gets smaller and smaller. That’s why I’m alone. But don’t worry, like I said, I got myself a delicious cake and some champagne and a little arrangement.”
