Dylan Dreyer says the network gave her the “best birthday present ever”

meteorologist Dylan Dreyer might have missed going with her to the Olympic Games in Paris Today co-hosts of the show, but her recent Instagram post proves she hasn’t missed a thing.

By staying home, Dreyer had the opportunity to spend her 43rd birthday on August 2 with her three sons—Calvin6, Oliver4 and Rusty2 – and husband, cameraman for NBC News Brian FicheraOn August 4, the mother of three shared a sweet video of her boys wishing her a happy birthday, calling the time spent with her little ones the “best birthday present ever.”

“I had some free time since I’m not at the Olympics and just being home with my family was the best birthday present ever!! Thank you for all the birthday wishes… it was a wonderful day!!,” Dreyer wrote in her caption.

As NBC Insider reported, Dreyer moved from her position to Weekend today to her current position in January 2022, which means she will have more opportunities for “family time” on Saturdays and Sundays.

“It’s about spending time with the family,” said the weather correspondent on Today“You know, this job can be quite exhausting, especially when you’re traveling a lot and have a lot to do. But it’s so important to make time for your family too.”

“These guys are my whole life and Brian and I love being a team on weekends and spending as much time with them as we can and having as much fun as we can,” Dreyer added. “That’s really all I’m going to do, just sit home and just love those three.”
