Love’s donates 0,000 to United Way of Central Oklahoma

To celebrate Love’s Travel Stops’ 60th anniversary, the retailer donated $408,000 to the United Way of Central Oklahoma (UWCO). The donation was divided among UWCO’s 68 partner agencies, with each partner receiving $6,000. Love’s has partnered with the organization for 25 years.

According to the press release, the donation will “help address issues ranging from homelessness to food insecurity to crisis intervention.”

“Love’s is very proud of our heritage with United Way of Central Oklahoma, and we are continually inspired when we see the result of their efforts – real, measurable differences in the lives of Oklahomans,” said Jenny Love Meyer, Chief Culture Officer at Love’s. “Supporting United Way is a multigenerational effort that began with my parents and has continued to grow within our family and our 3,000+ corporate employees. We are pleased to recognize our partnership with this donation on our 60th anniversary and look forward to our annual fall fundraiser in November.”

Love’s will host its annual fall fundraiser for the United Way of Central Oklahoma from November 11-22.

“Each year I am inspired by the meaningful support Love’s and its team members give to United Way, an organization that touches countless lives and strengthens communities,” said Francie Koop, director of marketing and brand strategy at Love’s. “This year is especially exciting as United Way celebrates a century of compassion and Love’s celebrates its 60th anniversary, showcasing the collective community impact across generations.”

Last month, Love’s Travel Stops Financial Services acquired REV Capital’s transportation factoring portfolio. The deal aims to expand Love’s financial services offerings.
