Twinkle Khanna jokingly tells Akshay Kumar to eat poisonous grass if she dies first, inspired by ‘Tik-Tik’ birds

Akshay Kumar is one of those Bollywood actors who believe in doing three to four films a year and for that they don’t shy away from working hard. Whenever Akshay gets time off from his busy schedule, he definitely goes somewhere to spend time with his wife Twinkle. During one such fun outing, something happened that Twinkle jokingly told Akshay Kumar to eat poisonous grass if she dies first. After all, why did Twinkle say that?

When Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar went on vacation, they spent many memorable moments there which Twinkle later collected in one of her blogs and wrote about the entire trip. According to media reports, Twinkle had written in this blog that during this trip, Twinkle Khanna had jokingly told Akshay Kumar that she does not want Akshay Kumar to remarry if he dies first. After their death, they too eat poisonous grass. Twinkle said this because during the trip, she came to know that a couple of ticking birds do something similar when one of them dies.

According to media reports, during the fun outing, a tour guide told him that a pair of birds named ‘Tik-Tik’ were very much in love. It is believed that these birds are so much in love with each other that if one of them dies, the other bird also commits suicide by eating poisonous grass. When Twinkle heard this, she told Akshay that if she dies first, he should also eat poisonous grass instead of remarrying. She also warned her that if she found out that he had a second wife, she would come back and cause trouble for both of them.

According to media reports, Twinkle Khanna wrote, “On the way back to the camp that evening, the guide pointed out a pair of birds called Tik-Tik who are so devoted to each other that if one dies, the other kills itself by eating poisonous grass. I said to my husband (Akshay), ‘Okay (listen), if I die first, it would be better if you also eat poisonous grass. If I see your second wife walking around with my handbag, I promise I will come and harass you both.'”
