John Abraham says Aditya Chopra doesn’t show his films to anyone except Shah Rukh Khan and talks about working in Pathaan

John Abraham and Shah Rukh Khan played the lead roles in ‘Pathaan’, which became a blockbuster last year. In a new interview with Ranveer Allahabadia, John spoke about his experience working on the production of Yash Raj Films and his relationship with Shah Rukh as his co-star. He also told that Aditya Chopra is a very ‘strict’ person.

During the interview, John mentioned that Aditya Chopra is very strict and shows his films only to Shah Rukh Khan. He said, “Aditya Chopra is very strict. He doesn’t show his films to anyone except Shah Rukh Khan! So whatever information I got, it was from Shah Rukh. Before the film, I called him and asked, ‘How is it?’ and he told me. He is very nice. Our energy was fantastic.”

John also shared that Shah Rukh was his judge at the beginning of his career and now he is working with him in Pathaan, which is full of respect and love.

He said, “When my career started, Shah Rukh was my judge and now, during Pathaan, I worked with him. There was a lot of respect and love. He is an extremely smart, intelligent man but also very caring and sweet. We got along really well!”

Backed by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films and directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan starred John as the antagonist Jim and Shah Rukh Khan as the titular character Pathaan.

In the same interview, John praised Aditya Chopra and recounted how he had advised him to do Dhoom (2004), saying he was the only one who could “make evil look cool”. John is confident that any project with Aditya will be successful.

On the work front, John will next be seen in Vedaa, directed by Nikkhil Advani. The film also stars Sharvari and Abhishek Bannerjee. The film will be released on August 15.
