Music Circus Sacramento will welcome the critically acclaimed musical “Jersey Boys” next week, offering audiences the chance to relive the remarkable journey of one of America’s most iconic pop music groups. The production opens August 20 and runs through August 25, promising great late-summer entertainment at the UC Davis Health Pavillion

Jersey Boys tells the story of the meteoric rise of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, a group of working men from the streets of New Jersey who became international superstars. With a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe, the musical captures both the band’s triumphs and their woes. Audiences can expect timeless hits such as “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and more.

Performances take place Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with additional matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Following the Sunday matinee, there will be a special talkback session with the cast, offering fans a unique opportunity to talk to the cast and gain deeper insights into the production.
