Heartbreaking story about influencer’s baby who was in a coma for 100 hours … as desperate family asks followers for help

An Australian influencer has revealed that her one-year-old daughter has been in a coma in hospital for more than 100 hours.

Allanah Harris and her husband Brock run the popular TikTok page “The Harris Family,” which documents the lives of their four children for more than a million followers.

Allanah and Brock have a one-year-old daughter, Daisy, as well as seven-year-old James, three-year-old Chase and two-year-old Ellie.

Daisy lives with tuberous sclerosis (TSC), a rare genetic disease that causes the growth of non-cancerous tumors in the brain and other vital organs.

Daisy had been having multiple epileptic seizures every day since she was six months old, and in June the couple discovered that TSC was the cause.

On Sunday, Allanah posted a heartbreaking update on her little girl’s condition on Instagram, announcing that she had been in a coma for more than 100 hours and that doctors were desperately searching for the cause.

Allanah shared two photos, one of her hand comforting Daisy’s bandaged arm and a portrait photo of her daughter.

“Daisy was once a bright and lively little girl, her life recently took an unfortunate turn and she has now been in an apparent comatose state for over 100 hours,” Allanah revealed in the detailed post.

“Unfortunately, there are no medications or stimulants that will help Daisy wake up safely. Daisy has endured countless needles and blood tests in her ‘sleep’ and doesn’t even bat an eyelid.”

Allanah explained that Daisy, who also suffers from focal cortical dysplasia, epilepsy, infantile spasms and encephalopathy, was first diagnosed with TSC in June last year, the same day her first child Lily, a stillborn, died in 2020.

She added that the reasons for Daisy’s current comatose state remain a mystery.

“But beyond that, doctors are still doing their best to understand why Daisy chooses to shut herself off completely, unresponsive, and fall into a comatose state,” Allanah wrote.

“All medical evidence so far indicates that Daisy should be alert and healthy, apart of course from her severe developmental delays. But sadly, that is not the case.”

“Investigations are ongoing and information about Daisy has been passed on to other hospitals not only in AUS but in other counties to help find answers.”

Brock and Daisy’s grandmother Karen have launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover the costs of Daisy’s ongoing treatment and have already raised over $22,000.

At the end of her heartbreaking post, Allanah urged her followers to donate to the campaign.

“Daisy has been unresponsive for over 100 hours now and we have no idea when she will wake up on her own. It could be tomorrow, it could be in 6 weeks. But it’s only safe if she does it herself, when she’s ready,” she said.

“Even if Daisy decides to wake up, we still have a long way to go to figure out what is causing this lack of sleep and slow brain activity.

“I NEVER thought it would come to this, but we have the GoFundMe link posted in our bio. Even as little as $1 would be the greatest thing to us.”
