Livingston County United Way seeks new executive director

BRIGHTON – Livingston County United Way is looking for a new executive director.

According to an August 14 press release, Patricia Sliter recently resigned from her position as executive director of LCUW. Sliter had held the position since last October.

“We appreciate her efforts in managing many of the changes implemented over the past nine months, and the board and staff wish her well in her future endeavors,” the press release said.

LCUW staff will work with the board in the coming months “to strategically advance support and funding for our partner agencies throughout Livingston County with the same continued success,” the release said.

LCUW is described on its website as “a convener and collaborator of many nonprofit, for-profit, governmental and faith-based organizations, all serving the most pressing needs of Livingston County residents,” the website states. More information about the nonprofit can be found online at livingstoncountyunitedway.org.

LCUW board chair Katie Pikkarainen told The Daily that a search committee is being formed. A job posting should be completed in the next two to three weeks, Pikkarainen said. The search committee will then review resumes.

Anyone interested in the position can send a resume directly to the LCUW office at [email protected].

“We certainly wish (Sliter) all the best, we appreciate the time she spends with us, and right now we’re just focused on a busy campaign season and our other fundraising and fundraising efforts,” Pikkarainen said.
