The creative, pinboard-based app not only provides users with information on everyday styles like cute cowgirl boots or flower vases, but also the best seasonal trends in food, home decor, makeup, and more.
Last winter, Pinterest predicted the most comforting food trend of 2024: “melty mashups.” And this year, just in time for fall, they’re expecting another super cozy theme, although it has less to do with French onion pasta and more to do with interior design.
The social media platform has released its fall 2024 trends report, which it describes as “a season of connection and creativity.” In terms of interior design, Pinterest predicts that cozy nooks will take over every room in your home. In particular, users have been searching for cozy sunrooms and cozy reading room ideas.
So how can you achieve this calming vibe for your fall home refresh? According to Pinterest, “People are embracing dreamy, cozy nooks with floral room aesthetics and cozy lighting that add calming colors to their spaces.” If you want to take a cue from Ree Drummond’s book, or at least her Walmart line, you could start with some textural, floral accents, like the plush “The Pioneer Woman” reversible throw. Imagine snuggling up under the warm blanket with a book in hand (anyone have Ree’s latest cookbook?).
Cozy lighting and air-purifying plants will also be on trend in fall 2024. This could be warm glow lamps, fairy lights, or even a roaring fire. As for plants, there are so many low-maintenance houseplants that also purify the air (and add so much color)! Consider adding a snake plant or ivy for the ultimate zen space.
