Former 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena has discussed a possible return to the UK during his WWE retirement tour.

At WWE Money In The Bank 2023, John Cena made a surprise appearance and pushed for London to host a future WrestleMania event.

Then, a year later, at Money In The Bank 2024, Cena announced that he would be doing a farewell tour in 2025.

Speaking to TalkSPORT, John Cena said he hopes there will be dates in the UK outside of his farewell tour. He said:

“I really hope so. As you know, I will be retiring from in-ring appearances next year. We will start in January and have our last fight in December 2025.”

“I really hope that this farewell includes some dates in the UK. I meant what I said and I said the same thing in Canada. The UK and Canada have supported WWE so strongly through thick and thin.”

“I’ve been pushing for WrestleMania to be held in London because I think London has earned the right to host the biggest stage of them all. Nick Khan and Triple H were just there talking to the Mayor of London.”

“Hopefully, I don’t know, it works out and maybe there will be a WrestleMania in London in the future.”

“It won’t happen in 2025, so unfortunately I won’t be playing there, but when the time comes, I will definitely be there as a fan,”

As previously reported, WWE CCO Triple H and WWE President Nick Khan recently met with London Mayor Shadiq Khan to bring WrestleMania to London, England.
