The pre-release event of Ram Pothineni and Puri Jagannadh’s double feature ISMART was held in grand style in Warangal and was attended by the core team of the film and a large enthusiastic crowd.
Producer Charmme Kaur expressed her confidence in the success of the film and thanked the audience for the overwhelming response to the songs and the trailer.
Puri Jagannadh praised Ram for his unmatched energy. “The energy that Ram brings is unparalleled. His character’s hairstyle, his walk, his Telangana slang and his overall attitude were just remarkable. We wouldn’t be enjoying these elements if he didn’t perform so well. He is an excellent dancer and a great artist.”
Puri also thanked Sanjay Dutt for being part of the film and for bringing extra energy to the project. He recounted an incident involving writer Vijayendra Prasad, father of SS Rajamouli.
“After my last film flopped, I got a call from Vijayendra Prasad garu. He asked me to tell him my next story before starting the project. He said, ‘I can’t bear to see directors like you fail. You make small mistakes, so let me know before you go ahead.’ That moved me a lot. Though I didn’t tell him the story after that, I took utmost care with this film.”
Hero Ram said that Mani Sharma took it as a challenge to deliver another blockbuster album. He expressed how much he enjoyed working with Sanjay Dutt and praised Kavya as a dedicated actress. He called Puri Jagannadh the most inspiring director in Tollywood.
“In the industry, many admire Puri Garu as a writer and director. Every actor needs a mentor like Puri Jagannadh. I have his name saved in my contacts as ‘Gun’. The joy I get from working with Puri is unmatched.”
The event was a great success and the whole team hopes to deliver a blockbuster.
