Dominic Solanke has moved permanently from Bournemouth to Spurs.

Harry Kane has given new Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke some wise words.

Solanke moved permanently from Bournemouth to Spurs this summer for a transfer fee of around £55 million.

England captain Kane spent 19 years with the Lilywhites before moving to new shores at Bayern Munich last summer.

Bayern won 3-2 yesterday when Kane faced his old team in a friendly in north London.

After the game, the 31-year-old gave Solanke some important advice after his recent move to Spurs.

Kane told Sky Sports: “It should be great. Dom is a great player, plays with high intensity and high tempo.”

“With Ange’s style of play, he will definitely get his chances in this team.

“You saw that today when two top teams went head-to-head. So I think it’s a really good signing.

“I saw him there in the dressing room and just wished him all the best and of course hope that he has a good season.”

Solanke had a brilliant goalscoring season for the Cherries in 2023/24, scoring 21 goals in all competitions.

Spurs are looking to make a breakthrough in Ange Postecoglou’s second season in charge, but the England international admitted he couldn’t turn down the lure of playing under the former Celtic head coach.

“It means so much to me – signing for a club like Tottenham is really everything I wanted.

“It’s a great club, a huge club with the same ambitions as me. That’s why I’m really excited to be in the starting line-up and to get to know all the guys,” he said.

“What excites me most about the club is its ambition.

“The club has a great coach and great players and I think it suits my style of play as well. So I can’t wait to get started and do my part on the pitch.”
