Buckhannon Academy Elementary School receives 400 backpacks as part of Toyota’s Big Summer Giveback Event

Buckhannon Academy Elementary School is proud to announce that Buckhannon Toyota has selected our students as recipients for their Big Summer Giveback Event.

Buckhannon Toyota is partnering with Kids In Need Foundation for the third annual Big Summer Giveback program and is generously funding 400 backpacks to be distributed to students at Buckhannon Academy Elementary. Each student at Buckhannon Academy Elementary School is eligible to receive a backpack filled with school supplies for free.

Backpacks will be available at Buckhannon Academy Elementary School’s open house on August 13, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and will be distributed by school staff, therapy dog ​​Foster, representatives from Kids In Need, and representatives from Buckhannon Toyota.

Toyota’s collaboration with Kids in Need for the Big Summer Giveback event involves 620 Toyota dealers nationwide. Over the past three years, this partnership has generated over $3.75 million in donations that have supported over 140,000 students through Toyota’s Big Summer Giveback.

This year, the program will provide 60,000 students nationwide with new backpacks filled with essential school supplies. Forty-seven Toyota dealers have pledged to donate $10,000 each to support underserved local schools.
