The Bookseller – Rights – Pan Macmillan publishes memoirs by Joanna “JoJo” Levesque

To mark the 20th anniversary of her eponymous debut album, Pan Macmillan will publish an “emotionally charged” autobiography by Grammy Award winner Joanna “JoJo” Levesque.

Publishing director Sara Cywinski acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to print, serial, digital and audio material from Suzannah Ball at WME.

The memoirs, About the influence, will be released on September 19th in hardcover and e-book, along with the audiobook read by the author. It will be published in the US by Hachette Books.

The successful, multi-platinum artist released the album “JoJo” in September 2004 after signing with a major record label at the age of 12. “Leave (Get Out)” made her the youngest solo artist to debut with a number one single in the US.

JoJo said: “I’m delighted to announce that my book baby will be available in UK bookshops for my fans abroad. I can’t wait for you to get your hands on it and hear your thoughts on the contents.”

Cywinski said: “The reception About the influence was one of those moments that sparked excitement and curiosity among me and my colleagues. It is a beautifully crafted and emotionally charged story and we are honored to publish it.”
