By EMMANUEL KUJE, Abuja –

The Editor of Neptune Prime Newspapers, Dr Hassan Gimba, anipr, has announced plans to commission three major projects in his home state of Yobe.

In an invitation letter sent to journalists on Wednesday, the publisher announced that the event, scheduled for August 31, would coincide with the Fatiha wedding of his son, lawyer Suleiman Gimba.

According to the letter, the wedding will take place in Fatiha at 11:00 a.m. at the residence of Mohammed Babate, behind Water Office, Barracks, Potiskum.

“Immediately after the wedding Fatiha, we will commission the Hafsatu Gimba Ahmed Memorial School at VIO Street, Unguwar Jaji, Potiskum.

“This facility is dedicated to the memory of my late mother and aims to meet the educational needs of our community,” the letter said.

Dr. Gimba added that the Abubakar Monja Lifeline Foundation for Late Journalists’ Families – which he set up to support the families of deceased journalists – would support young people it had trained in tailoring and plumbing as part of the induction programme.

“I would also like to invite you to visit the ongoing construction work at the Lami Fatima Babare Cancer Outreach and Clinic nearby, also in Unguwar Jaji.

“The clinic is an initiative of the Lami Fatima Babare Cervical Cancer Foundation, which was established in 2020 – in memory of my late wife Lami Fatima Babare – to provide medical services and referrals to cancer patients,” the letter said.
