Thobani Nzuza, an acclaimed South African actor, director, playwright, singer and dancer, continues to make great strides in the entertainment industry.
Known for his roles in popular television series such as eHostel, Uzalo, Isitha: The Enemy And Isipho, Nzuza is currently expanding his craft with the release of his second play, a work he wrote while in college in 2014.
On Instagram, Nzuza announced that he had decided to publish his second book and thanked @sphephelo_afezeka for her help in publishing the piece. He said he decided to publish the piece after receiving an email from a Wits University professor who mentioned the piece’s potential.
Accordingly Youth VillageThe award-winning playwright and storyteller published his first book, Young Ntulikaziin 2018, which was about how personal challenges shape one’s worldview. The story is about Ntulikazi, whose difficult past left him mentally unstable and with several character traits.
Additionally, TVSA reports that Nzuza directed and performed the play based on his book Young Ntulikaziand later published the play. The production received several awards including Best Actor at the 2015 IsiGcawu Festival, Best Actor and Best Production at the 2017 Baxter Zabalaza Theatre Festival and Best Community Production at the South African Theatre Magazine Awards.
