Mama June shares a heartfelt post in memory of her late daughter Anna Cardwell on her 30th birthday

Mama June Shannon remembers her late daughter Anna Cardwell, who passed away in 2023, in a special way by posting about it on her social media handle. She shared an emotionally charged post that spoke about the people who lost their loved ones.


The reality star posted a heartfelt post on Instagram on August 28th to mark what would have been her late daughter’s 30th birthday. The post mainly contained a caption that spoke about grief. Mama June mentioned that some days she feels exactly that, as she misses Anna every day.

Losing her daughter must have been extremely difficult for her, for sure, and that was reflected in some ways in the post she shared. According to People Magazine, the video included the caption, “I miss you. I just miss you,” adding, “I’m doing my best, I’m taking little wobbly steps forward, but if you were to ask me how I’m doing… I just f***ing miss you.”

The post also said, “I get through the days but there is still that place you are meant to be, a space that no amount of time or effort can ever fill.” It seemed like the post was intended for people trying to cope with the loss and grief of losing their loved ones.

According to the publication, Cardwell died in December last year after battling stage 4 adrenal cancer. She was diagnosed in January and died at age 29. This tragic news definitely shocked Mama June’s fan base.

The reality star spoke to the outlet in June and mentioned that she keeps her daughter’s memory alive by wearing a bracelet with her ashes, adding that it’s something she personally has to talk about constantly.

Mama June added that Anna was actually with them that day as she pointed to the bracelet. She added that she always “dragged it around.” Mama June: From Not to Hot star mentioned that Anna liked being slathered and “dragged around.” She added that they never thought they would lose anyone in their family and didn’t think they would experience that on reality TV.
