One of Taunton’s most popular spots has recently been in the spotlight.

Home Plate Bay Street Grill, 1094 Bay St., was mentioned in an Aug. 24 Facebook post by Phantom Gourmet.

Phantom Gourmet, which celebrates and highlights all things culinary for New England foodies, tagged Home Plate in a post about its meatballs.

“Just give me all the gooey, melty cheese covered meatballs please,” Phantom wrote.

Mobile Pizza from Rehoboth Baking Co. coming soon

Have you ever wished that Rehoboth Baking Co. could bring you its pizzas?

Good news!

The company at 7 Park Street in Rehoboth is going mobile.

They recently announced on their Facebook page that they will soon be offering mobile pizza and that anyone interested can inquire about booking for their next event.

Autumnal wooden pallet painting evening at the Ugly Duckling Restaurant & Bar

The Ugly Duckling Restaurant & Bar, 47 Weir St., Taunton, is hosting a fall pallet painting night on Thursday, November 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

“Create With Kath” shows guests step-by-step how to paint an 11×17 wooden pallet, but creativity is also welcome.

Cost is $35 per person and payment is via Venmo, @createwithkath.

Smitty’s Pub & Pizza now serves cauliflower crust

Looking for a gluten-free option at Smitty’s Pub & Pizza?

The restaurant at 445 Bay Street in Taunton now serves cauliflower crust.

A note for those who must avoid gluten for medical reasons: Smitty’s noted in its Facebook announcement that the cauliflower crust pizzas are baked in the same pans and oven as their regular pizza.

Pumpkin is back at Frates Drive-In

Fall flavors are back, everywhere. We’ve rounded up a few local spots here, but you’ll be able to find delicious pumpkin spice just about everywhere in the coming weeks.

Frates Drive-In, 1423 Somerset Ave., Taunton, has announced that pumpkin and pumpkin Oreo flavors, as well as the pumpkin Oreo frappe, are back in stock.

Autumn flavors at Tom & Jimmy’s

Tom & Jimmy’s, 337 Winthrop St., Taunton, has announced the return of all of its fall flavors: pumpkin, pumpkin Oreo, pumpkin cheesecake and caramel apple.

Fall flavors are available at all three locations.

Tom & Jimmy’s also has locations at 109 W. Grove St., Middleboro; and 235 N. Main St., W. Bridgewater.

Caramel Apple Ice Cream at Joyful Scoops

Apple also makes a grand appearance at Joyful Scoops, 139 Thompson St., Middleboro.

Their caramel apple ice cream has an apple base with caramel spirals and walnuts.
