John C. Vaccaro, 86, of Sewickley, died Saturday, August 17, 2024. Son of the late Lorenzo and Antoinette Vaccaro; beloved husband of Marcie Vaccaro and the late Mitzi Vaccaro; loving father of Kevin (Stacey) Vaccaro, Daniel (Brenda) Vaccaro, David (Hope) Vaccaro, John (Kelly) Vaccaro, Amy (Mark) Quinn, Craig (Jen) Edmunds and Todd (Heather) Edmunds; brother of Albert and the late Larry Vaccaro; beloved grandfather of Chloe Kay, Max, Marin, Gabrielle, Morgan, Beckett, Xavier and Lexton. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. John worked for the Quaker Valley School District for 37 years as a mechanic’s assistant and driver. He was very active, not only providing transportation but also supporting sports teams on the sidelines. He was the oldest active member of the Sewickley Italian Sons of Italy and currently a member of the Sewickley Men’s Club at the YMCA. Many will also remember John as the barber in Sewickley. Friends were received on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 2 to 8 p.m. at RD COPELAND, LTD., Irvine Chapel, 702 Beaver St., Sewickley where a funeral prayer was held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. James Church, Sewickley, at 10:30 a.m.
