Claudia Schiffer, 54, exudes timeless appeal in NYC … after celebrating her birthday with a hot bikini video

Claudia Schiffer exuded a timeless appeal as she was spotted sashaying through sunny New York City this week.

The 54-year-old became famous as one of the supermodels of the 1990s alongside names such as Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista.

She has retained her radiant complexion and slim figure over the decades since then – and both were on display in Manhattan on Wednesday.

As a nod to summer, she presented a flowing floral dress that was tight-fitting to accentuate her impressively taut waist.

She let her lush, flaxen locks fall freely over her shoulders, framing her youthful features and accessorized with sunglasses.

Claudia, who grew up in West Germany and was discovered in a Düsseldorf nightclub in the late 1980s, completed the look with a bulging basket handbag.

The 1.80 m tall Teutonic blonde added a touch of shine to the outfit with a subtle necklace and rounded off the ensemble with flat shoes.

Her latest appearance came just two days after she celebrated her birthday by posting a steamy video of herself modeling in a bikini while on vacation in Greece.

She showed off her sensational body in the barely visible two-piece and smiled lovingly at a butterfly that landed on her finger.

“The Greek butterfly came back for my birthday this year,” she wrote happily in her caption. “Thank you for all the sweet messages!”

Claudia has been married to English director Matthew Vaughn for 22 years, whose successful films include “X-Men: First Class” and “Kingsmen: The Secret Service”.

The couple lives in a Tudor-style mansion in the English countryside and are proud parents of three children – daughters Clementine (19) and Cosima (14) and son Caspar (21).

Matthew revealed last year that Claudia had urged him to make his directorial debut with the 2004 film Layer Cake, after previously working as a producer.

“My wife talked me into becoming a director,” he said on The One Show. “I was a producer. She said, ‘Direct Layer Cake’ because Guy Ritchie had stopped or quit doing it.”

Before she began her romance with Matthew, Claudia was famously in a relationship with the internationally famous magician David Copperfield.

The two began dating in 1993 when he chose her from the crowd for an audience participation segment at one of his shows, and were together for six years.

A few years ago, Claudia gave her fans an insight into some of the diet tips that have helped her maintain her great figure over the years.

For environmental reasons, she and her family eat “seasonal, locally grown fruits and vegetables that are free from pesticides, as well as organic meat and dairy from local farms,” she told Net-a-Porter.

“I start my day with quinoa, pineapple, almond slivers and fresh almond milk with dates. Lunch is usually vegetables and a small amount of turkey, chicken or fish, and the same goes for dinner,” Claudia explained.

“For snacks we have sheep’s or goat’s yoghurt with banana, chia seeds and linseed and for treats we always have chocolate, a great red wine or my favourite rosé from Leoube,” she revealed.

“I also love the traditional German stews that my mother always cooked for me and that I now eat when I am in Hamburg with my siblings.”
