Strictly’s Stacey Dooley shares a special gift from her daughter Minnie

Be sure to come and danceStacey Dooley shared a sweet gift from her daughter Minnie.

The documentary filmmaker posted a photo on Instagram showing a small plastic Oscar statue next to a note (with little paper hands). “To Mom, we are so proud of you. Love you, Dad and Minnie,” the note read.

In the caption, Stacey wrote: “Guys. I won an Oscar. And it was hand-delivered to me.”

Stacey and her partner, professional dancer Kevin Clifton, had their daughter Minnie in early 2023, but they have no plans to follow parenthood with marriage any time soon.

“Marriage was never particularly important to me. Besides, it’s well documented that Kev has done it a few times,” she said last year, referring to Kevin’s marriages to Anna Melnikova (2003 to 2005), Clare Craze (2008 to 2013) and Karen Hauer (2015 to 2018).

“You have to keep that in mind when you walk down the aisle and say, ‘Hi everyone, I know what you’re all thinking.’ It was just never something I dreamed of. But I couldn’t have done this (motherhood) without Kev. It’s funny. I always loved him, but now I have a different love for Kev.”

“I don’t think being married offers any more stability because we know that a lot of marriages end in divorce. But Kev, I don’t want to sound too gushy or cheesy, but I couldn’t have done it without Kev. I couldn’t have done it with anyone else,” she added.

She also said that the couple is not currently interested in having a second child.
