Did Godzilla eat this Tesla Cybertruck?

Crashed and burned out Tesla Cybertruck

If there was one thing that Elon Musk was stubbornly selling when he first introduced the Cybertruckit was the fact that it would be tough. Go to Tesla’s website and there they promise that the Cybertruck is “built for every planet” and “durable and rugged enough to go anywhere.” It would also be bulletproof. But it looks like this special Cybertruck wasn’t tough enough for any planet. That makes us wonder what the hell happened. Did Godzilla eat that Cybertruck?

This was clearly no ordinary fender bender. This truck is completely destroyed. If it didn’t have that distinctive roofline, you wouldn’t know what you’re looking at. A pile of junk? Honestly, it might still be a truck, technically, but if you could get more than scrap value out of a single part of this truck, we’d be surprised. Maybe one of the wheels is OK? Possibly? The sharknado that destroyed this truck did a pretty good job of making sure every single square inch was at least a little nibbled on.

What to do with this truck is not clear, but IAAI has put it up for auction soon anyway. The main damage is described as “total fire,” and you can see from some photos that it does indeed look like there was a bit of fire involved. Possibly even a very large fire. It is not clear what caused the truck to burst into flames, but Battery fires are a serious matter. Electric vehicles are great, but they have one drawback: when they catch fire, they burn hot and for a long time and are difficult to put out.

Hopefully everyone who was in the Cybertruck at the time of the accident got out safely. This one looks bad.
