Single looks good on Brittany Cartwright!
Before officially filing for divorce from Jax Taylor, 45, on Tuesday, August 27, the 35-year-old “Vanderpump Rules” alum shared her own version of the revenge dress on Instagram.
Following in the footsteps of her VPR co-star Ariana Madix, who wore a red cut-out creation following the infidelity scandal surrounding her boyfriend Tom Sandoval, Cartwright posed in a figure-hugging green midi dress by Micas (45$ 42 $) and provided an apt headline.
The piece featured cutouts above the bust and fringe details at the bottom, which Cartwright showed off in two different photos with her hands on her hips.
“Out with the old, in with the new. 💚,” she wrote.
While the reality star was equally bold when it came to glamour, wearing a curly updo and dark, dramatic make-up, she conspicuously went without her wedding ring for the sensual shots.
“🫡 damn,” her “The Valley” co-star Kristen Doute commented under the post, while Scheana Shay added several fire emojis.
“Gorgeous Brittany, we’re all rooting for you 😍🔥🔥,” read another encouraging comment, joining many others praising Cartwright’s good looks.
“Brittany, you are an absolutely STUNNING WOMAN!!! You are amazing🔥 and so kind, you deserve so much!! SAY GOLD, BEAUTIFUL”
Although some felt the need to criticize the outfit, claiming that Cartwright’s dress was “unflattering,” others were quick to come to her aid.
“I don’t know what picture all you haters are seeing, she looks damn amazing and that dress is amazing on her amazing body 😍😍💚💚”
Further comments pointed to Cartwright’s ringless finger, foreshadowing the impending official divorce news.
“So you mean you’re going out with Jax?” someone asked. “Considering you don’t have a ring on… too bad… I really hope you two work it out!”
The couple married in 2019 and had their son, Cruz, in 2021. Cartwright and Taylor announced their separation in February 2024, sharing the news on their podcast, When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany.
“Yes, marriages in general are very difficult and I had a particularly rough year last year,” Cartwright noted at the time. “Jax and I are taking some time off and I’ve decided to move to another house to have some space for the sake of my mental health.”
She later gave more insight into the breakup in the season one finale of “The Valley.”
“He would go to bars and stuff, come home and have these horrible hangovers that made him vicious like a snake,” she revealed during the episode, which aired in June.
“Finally, after he had yelled at me for hours… Cruz and I packed up our things and got out of the house.”
Fortunately, Cartwright seems to be enjoying her single life to the fullest. On Tuesday, she posted another photo of herself on Instagram with long golden waves and a tight pink ribbed ensemble.
“I’m getting my glow back. ✨,” she wrote under the post.
