Universal Rocks contributed to three key areas of the new park, bringing the creative vision of Futuroscope’s design teams to life using advanced shotcrete techniques and exceptional craftsmanship.
Create an immersive experience
For the park’s shower room, the firm worked to create wall and ceiling sculptures. The space is designed as a cave filled with intricately sculpted drops, enhancing the overall aesthetic and thematic experience.
For the family-friendly area, La Faille de Kraki, the team built artificial rocks and sculptures, as well as a music cave and a giant statue of the mascot Kraki. This area features a mix of quirky rock formations and interactive elements.
In addition, Universal Rocks has created artificial rocks and cliff walls for several key areas in the park’s innovative immersion space, Les Abysses de Lumière.
These included “La Crique,” a large hall that transports visitors to a magical cave with a combination of digital effects and water features; “L’Eauculus,” a mysterious pool that invites guests to immerse themselves in an otherworldly underwater experience; “Le Canyon,” a tranquil passage through a misty, light-filled crevice that conveys a sense of calm and wonder; and “The Source,” a crater-like formation with a cascading curtain of water that reveals hidden surprises as visitors explore.
