For the second time this summer, pop-rock stars McFly took over The piece hall in Halifax for a party the likes of which the Yorkshire town hadn’t seen this summer. With no tickets in sight, the McFly fan army made sure that Halifax and, judging by the noise, its neighbouring towns knew exactly who was in town.

The first thing you notice is that before the band took the stage, McFly knew exactly how to get the crowd going… not that he needed to. Metaphorically speaking, the roof of this place would have blown off if there had been one; the PA pumped out one banger after another queen To Bon Jovi To The villagersThe Piece Hall rocked as the quartet kicked off with the opener “Where Did All The Guitars Go?”

McFly has endless energy and feeds off the energy of the crowd. He makes sure to pack as much fun and fan favorites into his set as possible. He races through a career-spanning set and “Land of the Bees” And “One for the radio“ soon followed and the band delivered a flawless performance.

Barely ten minutes later, Dougie, Danny, Tom And Harry had the crowd in the palm of their hands and these diehard fans loved every minute. They sang along to every word to every song and when the night ended with their 2004 hit single “Five Colours In Her Hair”, the band made this corner of Halifax the place to be on Sunday night.
