Penn State receives third major donation for renovation of Beaver Stadium

Penn State athletics received another $10 million donation for the $700 million renovation of Beaver Stadium on Tuesday. The donor chose to remain anonymous.

This is the third eight-figure donation the athletic department has received for the project in the last two weeks. Other donations the university has received for the renovation include another $10 million donation from an anonymous donor and a leading $25 million donation from the Misitano family and PAM Health.

This brings donations in August alone to $45 million – a significant win for sports director Pat Kraft, who Contract extension for eight years on Monday.

Donations of $10 million or more to the project will be called “founders’ gifts” and will be recognized in a plaza in front of the stadium after completion, which is planned for summer 2027.

“We are thrilled to announce our third Founder’s Gift in as many weeks to the Beaver Stadium revitalization project,” Kraft said in a statement. “We extend our heartfelt thanks to this family for their tireless support of Penn State Athletics and Penn State. This remarkable gift underscores our community’s commitment to enhancing Beaver Stadium and the gameday environment while preserving the long history of our iconic stadium.”
