Finale of the summer concerts at Capron

Attleboro’s summer concert series in the park concludes Thursday evening at Capron Park on County Street. Whiskey Rhode will perform from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Cranston-based band plays classic rock, rhythm & blues and dance music. The concerts are hosted by the Attleboro Parks and Forestry Department and the Park Commission and funded by the SM Stone Memorial Trust Fund and the Ernest H. Augat Fund.

Bring bottles and cans

Angelcat Haven Feline Rescue of Plainville will host its semi-annual can and bottle deposit drive on Saturday, September 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at 36 Bacon Square, Plainville. Drop off all deposited cans and bottles to support the group’s cause. All cans and plastic bottles must be in a plastic bag and glass bottles should be in the box they were sold in. Angelcat Haven will also be selling handmade cat mats and toy products and hosting a bake sale. If you would like to volunteer for the event, email [email protected]. If you can’t make it and still want to support the organization, bring pre-counted cans and bottles to the Mansfield Redemption Center anytime and let them know so their value can be credited to the Angelcat Haven account. The center is located at 75 Forbes Blvd. and is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Support Wrentham Farm

This Thursday, you can learn more about the Metacomet Land Trust. Representatives from the trust will be at the White Barn Farm on South Street (Route 1A) in Wrentham from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is part of a series of early evening gatherings throughout the summer to support the small local farm. The farm stand will be open and there will be live music. You can also purchase pick-your-own flowers, pizza and local beers. Feel free to bring a lawn chair and relax in the “Land Trust Lounge” area next to the farm stand.
