This not only facilitates the transition but also creates an integrated understanding between both sides.

“It’s great to have all the guys here. It’s a lot of fun because at the end of the day they’re the same people,” Colson said. “They train you just as hard, they understand you, and you understand them and know how they operate.”

“I think I had the best starting position with these guys,” Colson continued. “I was fortunate to have guys like that around me, Coach Minter, Coach Harbaugh, all those guys, (Executive Director of Player Performance Ben Herbert), (Defensive Backs Coach Steve Clinkscale), all those guys around me.”

“I don’t think anyone has been more fortunate to be in a situation like mine in a long time,” Colson added. “I’m happy, I’m enjoying it.”

The focus now turns to his first regular season as a professional, for which he is preparing as well as possible.

It’s about controlling what he can control when the time comes.

“Since I’ve been back, I think I’ve performed really, really well,” Colson said. “When I get the reps, I just have to make sure I’m ready for them, ready for them, ready for whatever happens, because that’s the only thing I can do.”

“I can only control myself and my performance,” added Colson. “I think I’m playing at a really good level right now.”
