PADUCAH – Governor Andy Beshear, First Lady Britainy Beshear and country music icon Dolly Parton will host a livestream Tuesday to celebrate the expansion of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program to all 120 Kentucky counties.
Parton, the Beshears and two members of the McCracken County Public Library youth team will attend the event at the Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center in Lexington.
The McCracken County Public Library is hosting a Livestream Watch Party at 3:55 p.m. in the W. David Denton Multi-Media Room of the library at 555 Washington Street. The public is invited to attend the watch party.
The program provides children from birth to five years of age with an age-appropriate book each month and aims to promote literacy skills and interest in learning in young children.
“Team Kentucky is proud to be part of developing books for children across the state,” Beshear said in a press release. “The program has already had a tremendous impact on the state and we are excited to expand its reach even further.”
