Tired of alcohol, Zoomers have sworn off booze in favor of healthier beverages—and now they’re taking that attitude home.

Millennial bar carts are a thing of the past – and coffee carts are the new interior design trend to support.

People on TikTok are grabbing their shopping carts from places like The Container Store and putting their machines, sugar, syrup, and other coffee paraphernalia on top.

Of course, these coffee carts are also aesthetically pleasing: syrup and sugar come in minimalist dispensers with labels for a uniform look, and plants and artwork embellish the coffee station.

Keurig and Nespresso capsules are included, as are stirring spoons and straws. Basically, everything you need for a cup of coffee is within easy reach on the cart.

A bar cart instead of a coffee station is the latest trend that shows someone is more Millennial than Generation Z.

And it seems that this is a trend that young people around the world can support.

Australian home improvement company Bunnings Warehouse said in a TikTok: “Home coffee stations are the new bar carts.”

They added that “a coffee cart is the perfect way to espresso yourself and bring coffee house atmosphere into the comfort of your own home.”

In their TikTok, the company went a step further and used not just a bar cart, but a changing table as a coffee station.

In addition to the move away from alcohol, this trend may also have become more popular due to inflation and the rising costs of buying coffee from a café rather than making it yourself.
