Things to do: Where to eat, drink and celebrate Labor Day in Houston

From three-day weekend brunches to all-day happy hour specials, plus oysters, Korean barbecue, margaritas and more, here are the best restaurant deals in Houston this Labor Day.

The Audrey, 9595 Six Pines
Audrey hosts a sophisticated Labor Day brunch featuring soufflé pancakes, honey butter French toast, prosciutto Benedict and Breakfast at Tiffany’s cocktails.

Axelrad, 1517 Alabama
Labor Day happy hour runs from opening until 7 p.m. There are $3 mimosas, $4 Wells, $5 margaritas, house wine and micheladas, and 20 percent off frozens and fancy pants beers. People can stay for a free sunset movie screening and a free comedy with Jeff Joe in the upstairs room at 8 p.m.

Café Piquet Cuban cuisine, 5757 Bissonnet
Toast Labor Day at the cafe on Mojito Monday, enjoying the refreshing rum cocktail for half price all day, or enjoy Piquet’s happy hour menu featuring croquetas ($4), yuca frita ($4), sangria ($6) and margaritas ($7).

Daily collection, 800 Sorella
Celebrate with a special Monday brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by the usual social hour (2 to 5:30 p.m.) and dinner. Brunch highlights include cheese and bacon Benedict, ranch eggs, bison hash and smoked salmon platters for the table.

On Labor Day, guests can take advantage of Dandelion Cafe’s “Mimosa Mondays” offer and receive a drink for 1 cent with the purchase of any drink. On Labor Day, the Bellaire location is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (the Rice University location is closed for the holiday).

Dish Society restaurants celebrate Labor Day by offering Monday brunch from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by dinner until 10 p.m.

Duck N Bao, multiple locations
Indulge in Duck N Bao’s signature Xiao Long Bao and 2-free offer on homemade pork and chicken soup dumplings all Labor Day weekend long.

FM Kitchen & Bar, 1112 Shepherd
FM Kitchen & Bar is offering a three-day weekend brunch from Saturday through Monday over Labor Day weekend. All three Ice House locations are celebrating Labor Day weekend, kicking off with happy hour on Friday and Monday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with specials like Crown Royal, Bulleit or Don Julio Silver for $7 and Deep Eddy vodka cocktails for $5. On Saturday or Sunday, folks can enjoy Mimosas and Bloody Marys for $5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and cool off in the afternoon with amazing frozen drinks like frozen tea or frosé ($9.75).

La Calle Tacos, multiple locations
On Labor Day, La Calle Tacos invites guests to enjoy a margarita special all day long for $5.99 per drink.

Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette, 4224 San Felipe, 963 Bunker Hill
Enjoy the long holidays with Liberty Kitchen’s Labor Day brunch, which includes dishes like Avocado and Lump Crab Cocktail, Deviled Eggs with Fried Oysters, Bacon Jam and Dill Pickle, Buttermilk Lobster Bites, and Red Velvet Waffle and Fried Chicken Strips.

Molina’s Cantina, multiple locations
Molina’s invites people to relax and offers their favorite dishes from the Tex-Mex scene as well as Molina’s Margaritas at happy hour prices for $8.50, all day Saturday through Monday.

Pier 6 Seafood & Oyster House, 113 6th
On Saturday, August 31, Pier 6 invites guests to don their finest whites for an end-of-summer White Linen Party, beginning at 5 p.m. The 21-and-over event will take over the lower marina with a DJ, live entertainment and festive decorations. Tickets are available for free through Resy and each includes a complimentary glass of champagne from Telmont, as well as raw oysters and appetizers from Chef Joe Cervantez (there will also be a cash bar). Guests are asked to make separate table reservations for dinner; the restaurant will also be open on Labor Day.

Enjoy a rosé getaway this Labor Day weekend, available Saturday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This summer pop-up brunch transforms Sixty Vines into a rose-inspired paradise with a floral wall, pink umbrellas and flower tattoos, plus brand new brunch dishes like maple syrup French toast and Tuscan eggs Benedict and summery drinks like the DAOU Froze and Rose Bouquet Wine Flight.

State Fare caps off the weekend with a Texas-style Labor Day brunch, including bayou bacon-wrapped shrimp, poached eggs on crab cakes, bacon praline pancakes, crawfish and Creole Benedict, and Bloody Mary flights.

Bunker Hill Outpost is celebrating Labor Day weekend with an all-day happy hour, all weekend long, Saturday through Monday, September. Happy hour deals include $7 wine, $8 specialty cocktails, $6 draft beer, $5 import and craft beers, $4 domestic beers, and discounted shareable drinks including Catfish Hushpuppies and Pimento Cheese. Additionally, Treebeards is offering 50% off all bottles of wine on Saturday, August 31st.

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar, multiple locations
From Saturday, August 31 through Monday, September 2, guests can enjoy a long weekend brunch featuring Whiskey Cake’s popular Build Your Own Bloody Mary bar and brunch selections like lemon blueberry French toast and chicken and waffles.
