Travis Scott makes a long but hearty toast to James Harden’s birthday

Travis Scott and James Harden addressed it last night in Las Vegas, according to Sportkeeda. The Houston rapper and the Los Angeles-born NBA star guard have been close friends for some time. Their relationship grew stronger, especially when the Arizona State product played for Scott’s hometown Rockets. In fact, James Harden describes his relationship with the head of the Cactus Jack label as one that enriches them both. “We’ve built a friendship, a friendship that’s become pretty close. We talk to each other very, very often… give each other confidence,” Harden explained in 2019.

We talk about how we can be better in our own class. It’s really become a real brotherhood and friendship. It’s pretty cool.” Well, it seems last night was a culmination of all that time as friends because according to DJ Akademiks, Travis showered James with tons of love and praise during a birthday toast. The Los Angeles Clippers guard turned 35 yesterday and invited La Flame as well as many other high-profile guests. Harden’s post from the party also showed Lil Baby, his former teammate Kevin Durant, Michael Rubin and presumably many others in attendance.

Scott can be a pretty funny guy, but that makes this speech about his “brother” all the more healing. “I just want everyone to step up to the next level for the greatest human being of all time. If you’re just here, we’re just here to celebrate the best of the best…” he began. “This is my best friend ever and I just want everyone to enjoy it. If you’re not going to throw up, just have fun until your hands and feet can’t anymore. If you’ve got a shot in your hand, you got to raise that glass to the very highest. We’re just here to have fun, not for long. Here’s to the best human being of all time, to my best friend, my brother,” Scott lovingly concluded. You can tell they have a real bond and we hope it continues for a long time.
