Disclosure’s London Boiler Room evacuated due to overcrowding –

notice‘s eagerly awaited surprise on Boiler Room London was cancelled on Sunday for safety reasons due to overcrowding. The British duo had only played for five minutes when the organisers had to intervene.

The British duo had only been “five minutes” into their set at Boiler Room’s latest World Tour event on Sunday when promoters had to intervene due to concerns about overcrowding. “It’s out of our control but the festival has deemed it unsafe for us to play due to the volume of people in attendance,” Disclosure said in an Instagram story after they left the stage. “We won’t be coming back but we hope to see you back in London soon.”

We have worked hard on set for months… and are honestly deeply disappointed that we cannot play

Boiler Room also issued a statement acknowledging the high demand and apologising for the disruption, assuring fans that they would bring Disclosure back to London soon.

Our secret guests, Disclosure, drew a huge crowd in London today. Unfortunately we had to cut their set short due to high demand – not their fault.

Although no injuries were reported, the incident highlights the ongoing challenges of crowd control at large events. It is worth noting that this is not the first time Boiler Room has faced such problems. A similar incident occurred at a Peggy Gou Boiler Room show in Seoul earlier this year.

The cancellation has sparked discussions about the safety of electronic music events, with many attendees expressing frustration and disappointment and questioning the organizers’ ability to effectively control crowds. Some called for tighter security measures and improved crowd control strategies to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Despite the setback, Disclosure managed to salvage the weekend by playing an impromptu DJ set at a north London record shop, and announcing that they would release the mix they recorded there online. The cancellation has undoubtedly left a bitter taste in the mouths of many fans. We hope that Boiler Room will address the issue and ensure safety and capacity management of future events.
