Penn State Athletics Announces Third Founder’s Gift for Beaver Stadium

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Athletics secured a third Founders Gift for the Beaver Stadium revitalization project, a $10 million donation from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. This brings the total of Founders Gift donations to $45 million, including a $25 million lead commitment from the Misitano family and PAM Health.

“We are thrilled to announce our third Founder’s Gift in just a matter of weeks to the Beaver Stadium revitalization project,” said Patrick Kraft, vice president of university athletics. “We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to this family for their unwavering support of Penn State athletics and Penn State. This remarkable donation underscores our community’s commitment to enhancing Beaver Stadium and the game day environment while preserving the long history of our iconic stadium.”

The Beaver Stadium Founders are the leaders of the Beaver Stadium revitalization project and donors who make transformative gifts of eight figures or more. As founders, these benefactors play a vital role in ensuring Penn State Athletics can implement a renovation plan that not only preserves Beaver Stadium’s rich history, but also modernizes the facility and makes it a year-round venue. The Beaver Stadium Founders’ generous donations will be recognized on a plaza in front of Beaver Stadium upon completion of the renovation.

“We deeply appreciate the incredible generosity of this family, whose founding gift will have a lasting impact on our athletic department, our university and our community,” said Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi. “We are honored by the commitment and passion of Penn State supporters who invest in the future of our university. The support we have received for the revitalization of Beaver Stadium reflects the importance of this project to our institution and our impact on our community.”

About the revitalization of Beaver Stadium

In May 2024, Penn State’s Board of Trustees approved an investment in a $700 million renovation of Beaver Stadium that will increase revenue opportunities, enhance the fan and community experience, and secure future funding for all 31 Penn State athletic programs. The approved renovations will enable year-round use of Beaver Stadium, promoting economic growth and development in the surrounding region.
