HURON – The South Dakota State Fair and First Dakota National Bank are pleased to welcome a Jackrabbit Watch Party to the State Fair.
“The State Fair has always been a gathering place for South Dakotans,” said Peggy Besch, State Fair Director. “Hosting a watch party for SDSU’s opening game adds even more fun to the fair.”
This year’s game is the opening game of the 2024 South Dakota State University football season against Oklahoma State. The game will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 31st. The watch party will be held in the beer garden at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds. This event is open to all ages and is included in the day admission of fairgoers. The game stream will be presented by Karl’s TV and Appliance.
“First Dakota is proud to sponsor Football at the Fair,” said Nate Franzén, president of First Dakota’s agricultural banking division. “It’s a great opportunity for friends and families to come together at the fair and cheer on the Jacks! GO BIG, GO BLUE, GO JACKS!”
The Beer Garden at the State Fairgrounds is located east of the grandstand and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. during the fair. Each night of the fair, there is entertainment in the Beer Garden that begins immediately after the evening’s grandstand entertainment.
