Rumor Mill: Big Raw Spot, Jamie Hayter Update, AEW Plans, Miro, More!

Speculating about the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favorite pastime for many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors spawned by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Rumors of the day:

  • WrestleVotes claimed there was “back and forth about details” surrounding a potentially big spot planned for the Bronson Reed vs. Braun Strowman match. Considering how the match went, it’s safe to assume it was the tsunami on the car roof.

  • Jamie Hayter is back in the ring, reports Fightful Select. A few months ago there were tentative plans for her return to Everything includedFightful also points out that the injury, which has kept Hayter out of action since May 2023, was so severe that she needed special medical clearance to compete at last year’s Double or Nothing and vacate the AEW Women’s Title.
  • According to PW Insider, the planned main event of the โ€œDynamite Grand Slamโ€ on September 25th is the fight between AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson and Darby Allin.
  • It is also said that Miro is now back in the United States after spending some time in Bulgaria. It is still unclear when he will return to the ring, but at least he is back in the States.
  • AEW and New Japan’s Forbidden Door According to Wrestling Observer, next year’s London show is “expected” to take place in “one of the city’s indoor arenas” rather than at Wembley Stadium.
  • All In’s TNT title match between Jack Perry and Darby Allin was shortened because the show went on too long, says Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio.
