Official synopsis for “Terrififier 3”

In Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting’s Terrifier 3, directed again by Damien Leone, Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) will unleash another round of chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully sleep on Christmas Eve. Written and directed by Damien Leone, Terrifier 3 is produced courtesy of Dark Age Cinema Productions. Phil Falcone produces and Lisa Falcone serves as executive producer. Co-producers include Michael Leavy, Jason Leavy, George Steuber and Steve Della Salla. Brad Miska, Brandon Hill and Erick Opeka are executive producers for Cineverse. Matthew Helderman and Luke Taylor are also executive producers.

Leone explains why he chose to set the film at Christmas: “You can put this character anywhere, in any setting, at any time, and it would work. He’s just so ridiculous in any situation. If I put Art the clown in the Santa suit, it makes Art fresh again.” It sounds like he had a vision of Art in Santa suit in his head and went from there. Man, do I hate that this is a Christmas movie coming out in October? It just feels wrong. That said, I have no doubt that this will be a huge event when it hits theaters in October. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would be a powerful horror franchise, but that’s just how it is.

Terrifier 3 will be in theaters on October 11th.
