John Corbett and Bo Derek began the year with a rare public appearance.
The longtime couple have been together for over 20 years but rarely see each other in Hollywood. However, the “And Just Like That…” actor and the former “Bolero” star attended the premiere of “Masters of the Air” in Los Angeles on January 10.
The couple posed for photos together on the black carpet. The “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” star opted for an all-black ensemble, while the “10” star also dressed in all black and wore a white blouse.
At one point they even flirted and Corbett whispered something in his wife’s ear. Derek was photographed smiling during the sweet moment.
The actors met in the early 2000s and tied the knot in a secret wedding after more than a decade.
“We’re pretty private people. We didn’t announce it,” Corbett told “The Talk” after announcing the news of her wedding in 2021.

John Corbett and Bo Derek met in 2002 after being set up by the “Sex and the City” star’s boyfriend, agent Norby Walters. During an appearance on TODAY in July 2015, Corbett told the story of how the matchmaking came about.
It all started when Corbett missed an appointment at an Oscar party hosted by Walters.
“I said, ‘I’m not dating anyone,’ and he said, ‘I’ll get you a date, Corbett!’ And he set me up with Bo,” Corbett said.
Derek, who was married to filmmaker John Derek from 1976 until his death in 1998, said she hadn’t been together “for five years” but they hit it off “instantly.” “I kept telling my friends, ‘I’m waiting for the sparks to fly and everything to take off.’ And then it finally happened.”
2015: Bo Derek says she doesn’t feel pressured to get married
The couple continued to date and make red carpet appearances together throughout the year, but they were constantly asked when they were going to get married.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in September 2020, the JL Family Ranch: The Wedding Gift star said she and Corbett have spent more time together during the COVID-19 pandemic than ever before.
She started by telling us what she admired most about her partner: “It’s that sparkle in his eyes. His humor. He has a lot of joy in him and that gives me a lot. The simplest things can make him so happy and that’s why he makes my day better too. And he has a quirky sense of humor.”
“That was the longest we’ve ever spent together,” she said of life on her California ranch. “You get up, drink your coffee, feed the horses, feed the dogs, feed yourself and start that routine. So that part has kept us busy and occupied, and that’s my favorite part.”
Derek also revealed that the secret to their long-term relationship was that they made a “conscious effort to get along.”
“Funny thing is, we were so opposites in so many ways in the beginning that we took this relationship one day at a time,” she said. “And now, 19 years later, we’re still together and we’re going to stay together another day.”
2021: John Corbett announces that he and Bo Derek are married
In August 2021, Corbett revealed in an interview on “The Talk” that he and Derek got married during the 2020 holidays.
“Jerry, I can’t believe I forgot to tell you that we got married around Christmas time. Bo and I got married!” the actor told his co-host Jerry O’Connell while flashing his wedding ring at the camera.
“We’re pretty private people. We didn’t announce it. All of our friends and family knew,” he said. “But this is the first time any of us have said anything about it publicly because we really didn’t get a chance. So, you’re my buddy and now I guess I’m going to tell America or the world.”
The “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” actor added: “After 20 years, we decided to get married. We didn’t want 2020 to be the year that everyone looks back on and hates. We thought, ‘Well, let’s make something beautiful out of it.'”
A spokesperson for Derek later confirmed to TODAY.com that they married in a private ceremony in late 2020.
The actor did not reveal when they got engaged.
2022: Birthday parties
While keeping their personal lives out of the spotlight, Derek shared a video of the two celebrating their 67th birthday. The couple was spotted by the cameras and appeared on the big screen at a Los Angeles Chargers game in November 2022.
“Some birthdays are just better than others,” she wrote, thanking the NFL team.
2024: Date Night in Los Angeles
The Jan. 10 appearance at the premiere of Masters of the Air in Los Angeles was their first public appearance since they were photographed at a Netflix event in Montecito, California in November 2023.
The couple took photos before heading to the premiere to see the film starring Austin Butler, Callum Turner and Barry Keoghan.
