Danniella Westbrook has announced her son Kai’s engagement and said she “couldn’t be prouder.”
Former EastEnders star Danniella celebrated her son’s engagement on Sunday (25 August). In a series of photos he shared on Instagram, Kai wrote: “Had a wonderful time with wonderful people! Had a great engagement party.”
Danniella commented: “The most beautiful day for me. Seeing you happy and seeing you and Sophie make it official. I couldn’t be a prouder child.”
She continued: “What an amazing day and memories. Here’s to you both and a lifetime of memories, happiness and adventure. True love really does exist.”
Danniella posted snapshots of her son Kai with his new fiancée Sophie as well as a picture of her engagement ring.
Danniella has 27-year-old Kai with her ex-boyfriend Robert Fernandez. She also has a daughter, Jodie, 23, with her second husband Kevin Jenkins.
Last August, Danniella publicly addressed Jodie, who had blocked her on social media. Alongside a photo of her daughter as a toddler, the caption read: “With all my heart I miss my daughter. I miss so many things we shared together.”
“But after that lovely birthday, I arranged her 21st birthday last year. Within a month, I had disappeared from her life again without explanation.
“And it broke my heart, but I just hope she knows how proud I am to be her mother. And I will always love her. X”
But just days later, Danniella appeared to be angry when she posted a meme featuring an old snap of Marilyn Monroe waving from a window, with the words: “When someone blocks me and expects me to care. Bye cunt.”
Daniella also added a “bye” at the top of the Instagram story post.
Fans begged Jodie to reach out to her mother by commenting on a post celebrating her 22nd birthday.
One commented: “Stay with your mama. She loves and misses you (love heart) life is too short.”
Another said: “Please contact your mum, she wished you a happy birthday on Instagram.”
A third said: “Same age as my little girl. Please contact your mum, you only get one.”
On her Instagram account today (Monday, August 26), Danniella hinted that she will be appearing in a podcast with Lewis Nicholls.
Lewis posted a clip of the new Life Stories episode with the caption: “Danniella Westbrook’s Life Stories is coming out very soon so here’s a trailer of what to expect. I absolutely loved this episode and Danniella was so open and honest and a wonderful guest.”
