The NFL’s roster cuts have begun as the 2024 preseason quickly comes to a close. The Philadelphia Eagles – and the other 31 teams – have until 4 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, August 27 to trim their team down to the 53-man limit.

Wednesday, August 28, 12:00 p.m. ET: NFL waiver wire claims are disclosed. Formation of 16-player practice squads can begin.

(4:36 p.m.): Newbie WR Ainias Smith suffered an injury during Saturday’s final preseason game, according to Ian Rapoport. The receiver will undergo an MRI and could be one of the team’s two non-season-ending IR placements.
