Released Hamas hostage Noa Argamani throws party to “celebrate life”

Released Hamas prisoner Noa Argamani hosted a huge, bittersweet summer party with family and friends to celebrate her “return to life” after spending 246 days in Gaza before her daring rescue.

Nearly 11 months after Hamas’ brutal attack on the Supernova music festival on October 7, Argamani, 26, took a brief moment on Friday to “celebrate life” and called on the terror group to release the remaining hostages, including her boyfriend Avinatan Or, the Times of Israel reported.

“It is not ideal that we are having this party while a war is still raging in the background,” she told the crowd of her relatives in a video broadcast by Channel 12, “while our soldiers are on the battlefield, while there are still 109 hostages in Gaza, including my partner Avinatan Or, whom we miss terribly.”

“But at the same time, I’m happy to celebrate life itself with all of you,” she added. “Remember that we have to appreciate every day in this life, we have to celebrate every moment that we are here.”

During the party, Argamani could be seen dancing with her father Yaakov. Guests held the duo up high and a large banner hung above them reading “We will dance again.”

The ceremony also honored Argamani’s mother Liora, who died of brain cancer just weeks after she was finally reunited with her daughter.

Argamani became the face of the Hamas attack on the Supernova music festival when a video of her screaming for her boyfriend as a gunman rode away with her on a motorcycle circulated online.

After 246 days in captivity, Argamani was one of four Israelis released in a daring daylight mission on June 8, during which Israeli troops and police stormed a Hamas compound under a hail of fire to rescue the hostages.

Since her release, Argamani has been one of the most vocal advocates of a hostage exchange between Israel and Hamas to release Or and the other prisoners.

The party on Friday night came after she returned from speaking to G7 diplomats at a summit in Tokyo, where she recounted the horrors of October 7 and her days in the Gaza Strip.

During her speech in Japan, Argamani called it a “miracle” that she survived the ordeal, which included an alleged Israeli bombing of one of the locations where she was held.
