Primal Kitchen Announces Million Donation to Eat Real

In addition to investing in Eat Real to bring real, high-quality food to school cafeterias nationwide, Primal Kitchen is launching a new national brand campaign to change the way the world eats.

OXNARD, CALIFORNIA – Primal Kitchen®, a brand loved for enhancing classic condiments with real ingredients, good fats and delicious flavor, announced it has made a two-year, $1 million donation to Eat Real, a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization that secures the future of American children by putting real food on the table in schools, at home and in local and state politics.

This announcement coincides with the release of Primal Kitchen’s latest brand campaign, titled ‘Made for Real Food’, which features the brand’s second television spot that conveys Primal Kitchen’s definition of ‘real food’ and explains why Primal Kitchen is the delicious perfect addition to any meal.

Changing the world’s eating habits with the Eat Real partnership

Committed to executing on founder Mark Sisson’s mission to change the way the world eats, Primal Kitchen is investing in Eat Real to demonstrate that Primal Kitchen is not only made with real ingredients, but is also designed to make a real impact. With this new $1 million investment from Primal Kitchen, Eat Real will continue to expand its core school lunch certification program nationwide, bringing the nonprofit one step closer to its goal of reaching 1 million school children in 15 states by 2025.

This new pledge is Eat Real’s first $1 million corporate donation and will positively impact millions of school meals over the next two years and beyond. Eat Real has been Primal Kitchen’s Giving Tuesday partner for two years and has donated to the nonprofit annually during that time.

Morgan Zanotti, co-founder of Primal Kitchen, shares, “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Eat Real this year and expand access to real, high-quality food for kids across America. Primal Kitchen is a brand that has always been committed to creating sauces, dressings, condiments and pantry items made with real, high-quality ingredients, so it was a no-brainer to extend our investment to a nonprofit organization dedicated to feeding the future of American children through real food.”

Nora LaTorre, CEO of Eat Real, said, “Primal Kitchen shares our commitment to a comprehensive philosophy around real ingredients for real food. They have already proven themselves to be a top-notch corporate partner, not only supporting our certification program, but helping to raise awareness. Both of these mission-driven organizations are committed to changing the way the world eats, starting with our children. Together, we will feed the future. We can’t wait to see their new brand campaign that puts real food and Eat Real front and center when it launches this fall!”

“Made for Real Food” is the focus

Primal Kitchen’s announcement with Eat Real comes alongside the brand’s new national brand campaign, which highlights its mission to change the way the world eats.

Ana Goettsch, Marketing Director at Primal Kitchen, says: “It can be overwhelming and complicated to figure out what to eat. Primal Kitchen believes simplicity is key – just primal – so the brand is getting back to basics and starting a movement to bring real food back to the table.”

At the heart of the new campaign is Primal Kitchen’s second TV commercial in its eight-year history, with 15- and 30-second spots that focus on Primal Kitchen’s definitions of multivitamins, veggies and protein bars. To keep it real, the ads – which already air on TV, CTV, YouTube, Meta, Pinterest, TikTok and more – were created by Primal Kitchen’s in-house creative team in production partnership with The Rec League, feature the company’s employees and their families, and even have co-founder Morgan Zanotti on voiceover.

To bring the campaign even more to life, Primal Kitchen has invested in paid social, partnerships, shopper marketing, out-of-home and other channels that will be rolled out over the course of a few months.
