In Season 4 of The Umbrella Academy, a major Hargreeves tradition was broken (and applied to other characters)

The Umbrella Academy ended with the fourth season, but in the last episodes they broke with a major Hargreeves tradition and gave it to other characters. Despite the success of the first three seasons The Umbrella Academy ended after the fourth season, which was shorter, wilder and more heartbreaking than the previous seasons. After arriving in a new timeline created by their father Reginald Hargreeves at the end of the third season, The Umbrella Academy Season 4 saw Hargreeves and Lila six years later, moving on with their lives without superpowers.

The Hargreeves teamed up again to find Jennifer (Victoria Sawal). They were told she was part of a group called “The Keepers,” but in reality she was the catalyst for a massive apocalyptic event. The Umbrella Academy Season 4 answered the biggest questions left unanswered by the previous seasons and had no shortage of Easter eggs and references. It also included all the elements viewers expected from the series. However, Season 4 broke with one of the Hargreeves siblings’ biggest traditions and surprisingly gave it to two new characters.

The Umbrella Academy was full of action and drama, and although the Hargreeves had a hard time rebuilding their relationship and trusting each other again, they did have some funny moments throughout the series. The Umbrella Academy also relied heavily on music, with songs with lyrics that fit specific scenes, themes, etc., and through music a Hargreeves tradition was established in the first season. The Umbrella Academy In season 1, the Hargreeves reunited after years apart, and their relationship wasn’t the best. Moreover, it was Reginald’s death that brought them together, so there were a lot of unresolved issues between them.

At one point in time, each Hargreeves sibling (except Five, who had not yet returned) was in a different part of the mansion. Allison was in her old room and found a record player, so she put on some music. As Tiffany’s “I Think We’re Alone Now” played through the villa, each sibling felt the music in their own way and everyone began to dance. Season 2 continued this, but only with Klaus, Allison and Viktor. In the hair salon where Allison worked (back in the 1960s), Klaus, Viktor and Allison grew closer after Viktor suffered from amnesia for years.

The three siblings danced to Sam Cooke’s “Twistin’ the Night Away”but the rest of the Umbrellas didn’t get their dance scene. The Umbrella Academy made up for it in the first episode of the third season, when Marcus challenged her to a dance contest to “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins after meeting the Sparrow Academy. Both teams participated and everyone knew the choreographyand that’s because it was all an illusion Diego had after Jayme spat her hallucinogenic poison in his face. Sadly The Umbrella Academy In season 4, this tradition was completely omitted and the siblings had no dance scenes together.

Gene and Jean have their own strange dance scene

The only dance scene in The Umbrella Academy Season 4 was given to the antagonists Gene (Nick Offerman) and Jean (Megan Mullally), the leaders of the Keepers. This organization was convinced that the timeline they lived in was wrong and that a massive apocalyptic event known as “The Cleanse” would wipe out the broken timelines and repair the main timeline. Gene and Jean knew Jennifer was the key to the Cleanse, and they took her to their farm. There, they showed her some of their evidence of other timelines, including the octopus Jennifer was found in as a child.

Gene and Jean locked Jennifer in the barn where they kept these items, and While Ben sneaked onto the farm at night, Gene and Jean were upstairs dancing. Gene and Jean had their musical moment with Cher’s “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves,” and it was as weird but funny as Gene and Jean themselves. That Gene and Jean get the fourth season dance scene instead of the Hargreeves is surprisingly fitting, since They were in a broken timeline, so it’s funny that even that happened differently in this timeline.

The Umbrella Academy Although there was no Hagreeves dance scene in season 4, there was a heartwarming throwback to the scene from season 1. The Umbrella Academy ends with a look at the fixed main timeline, in which Diego and Lila’s family and Allison’s daughter are safe and sound and the characters from previous seasons are living different but normal and happy lives. This scene is accompanied by “I Think We’re Alone Now” by Tommy James & The Shindells.the original version of the song that the Hargreeves danced to in Season 1, which is fitting since the main timeline is also a different version of what was previously known.
