“Today was our last friendly match and it was important to go into the game with the right attitude. The result gives us confidence and I am happy with how the girls were on the field today.
“Now we have to start getting serious. We are at a good point, but we can’t expect to be at 100% as the season is still long. But we are definitely happy with our preparation.
“They were very compact at the beginning, there wasn’t much space and we tried to find ways to hurt them. There’s not much to say defensively as we were never in danger. We created a lot of chances but we need to be more consistent as we won’t always be able to take advantage of so many.
“I told the girls that starting Tuesday, when we’re back together, it will be our first ‘normal week’. We all want to start playing and fighting for points, we’ve trained a lot and our goals are very clear.”
SOFIA CANTORES POST-GAME COMMENTS
“I am very happy with our pre-season preparation. We have worked well and there is a good atmosphere in the group. There are a lot of new players and it is not easy to find your way into a new team, but they all did it straight away and are part of a great group.
“I want to do well this season and score a lot of goals. I will try to play as focused as possible. My goal is to score double figures because for one reason or another I have never managed that. My physical condition is important for the way I play and the way we are playing now suits me well.
“The encounters with international teams this summer have helped us prepare for the European Games. We have shown that we can compete against anyone and we played well against Bayern Munich, so we are confident. Of course it will be tough, but I am confident.”

“My year on loan at Sampdoria was very important for me. I grew a lot both as a player and as a person, all of which prepared me for this season at Juventus.
“The coach is very direct, he has clear ideas and explains them to us every day. I am very happy to work with him. He wants us midfielders to participate in the ball, to carry it, but also to go forward and help in the attack. We have to ensure balance, but we also have to participate in the attack.”
